I saw this old lady walking around the streets of Warsaw on a cold December day. She had bought something from the market and was probably walking slowly towards her house. She had an expressionless face. However, She looked peaceful. I felt that there was someone at home waiting for her. You want to get somewhere more when there is someone waiting for you. This scene made me feel the peace, the waiting, the arrival. The feeling of going somewhere has always made more sense to me than it does to me. This reminded me of the feelings I felt in my past. This scene always makes me feel pretty intense. That’s why this is one of my favorite works.
